About us:

The reputation of the Mitchell name started in the early 1980’s when Ed Mitchell Sr. began working for Rodenbeck Livery Service. The livery service started with two hearses, two limousines, and just a few accounts and has now grown to many livery vehicles . Ed was Rodenbeck’s number one driver and well liked by all of the funeral directors. The directors started to use Ed for removals, so often that he bought a stretcher and a station wagon to be available at all times to help them. At any time a funeral director was unavailable or wanted some time off, they could rely on Ed to be there.

Years later, in the early 2000’s, Ed Mitchell Jr. entered the business the same way as his father. Funeral directors shortly gained the same amount of respect for Ed Jr. He then bought his own stretcher and began using his own vehicle to make removals. Because of his eagerness to always want more business, this quickly spiraled upward for Ed Jr., gaining many clients. The increase in business led Ed Jr. to start Mitchell Funeral Support LLC. At Mitchell Funeral Support LLC, Ed relies on both Ed Sr. and Ed III, as well as, ten staff members and three removal vehicles. The main focus for us is to be capable of supporting the needs of all of our accounts.
